Ode to Billy Joe

Herman Raucher

About this book

***This screenplay tells the story of Bobbie Gentry's hit ballad, *Ode to Billie Joe*.***

In Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, ***the Bridge still stands***. And people still talk about that dusty June day in 1953 when, ***for no apparent reason, Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge***.

Now, ***years after the whispers and rumors***, the muddy ***Tallahatchie River gives up its secrets***—the secrets within the haunting ballad that swept America. And bestselling author Herman Raucher writes ***a love story that is beautiful, tender, funny, joyous, and ultimately so heart-breaking, that you will never forget it***.—BkCvr
